If your acting teacher is pushing you to go to auditions, your acting teacher must have information on who is holding auditions, for what, when and where they are and how to best prepare for them.
If you also need to ask why…you’re not ready.
-First off, make sure you have a decent headshot & resume. These tools will get you the job.
-Then find auditions through your local newspaper, theatres, or film commission. Your high school will probably have plays, too.
-If you really want to take your career further, submit to agents. You can find them by searching “acting agents in Las Vegas, Nevada” on google. They should be SAG/AFTRA affiliated or franchised and not charge upfront fees.
-Your acting coach should also offer some help. Read books like “Act Now” by Peter Jazwinski (myactingagent.com) and visit actingbiz.com for more info. Good luck with your career!
